About Resource Support & Services Ltd. (RSSL)
Resource Support and Services Limited (RSSL), formerly known as Industrial Projects and Services Limited (IPSL), is a fully government-owned company operating within the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM).
RSSL was established in 2003 following an agreement between the Government of Malta and the General Workers’ Union as part of a restructuring exercise at the Malta Shipyards. A core function of the company is to absorb workers made redundant following the closure or restructuring of public and parastatal entities, including Malta Shipbuilding, Malta Shipyards, Malta Drydocks, Kalaxlokk Co. Ltd, the Malta Development Corporation, Metco, Sea Malta, and IPSE. These employees were redeployed with government departments, public entities, local councils, and non-governmental organisations.
Today, RSSL is entrusted with the administration, deployment, and payroll management of more than 600 employees assigned across various government departments, authorities, local councils, and non-governmental organisations. Throughout the years, the company has also been entrusted with managing human resource transitions resulting from other national restructuring exercises, including those more recently involving former Air Malta and MIMCOL employees.
RSSL continues to play a pivotal role in facilitating workforce continuity, employment stability, and the seamless integration of personnel within Malta’s wider public service framework.
